Junior Camp at Stonybrook is Special!
Preschoolers thrive on adventure. That’s why Stonybrook offers its Junior Camp, an attentive,
nurturing, and fun environment for campers ages 3 to 5. Every junior camper can explore all the fun
and adventure of “big kid” camp while receiving a tremendous amount of personal attention.
Maintaining a constant sense of security, our littlest campers enjoy the freedom of movement that stimulates their budding independence. Each group is led by adult childcare professionals and warm, caring, experienced camp staff. All group sizes are kept small so our staff can get to know and individually encourage each camper. Programs that allow junior campers to explore their five senses and foster creativity are designed to be age appropriate and meet each camper’s developmental needs. Accomplishment and discovery is celebrated at all levels, and we will be in continuous communication with you to let you know what your camper is learning and the experiences that she or he is having. Sports, cooking, performing arts, swimming, and challenge courses are only a few of the highlights of our Junior Camp adventure. And with all that activity, we thought it would be a good idea to offer our Junior Campers a special morning snack.

Flexible Program
Junior Camp is available as a 3-, 4-, or 5-day program. This flexible approach allows a gentle introduction
to the magic of camp while recognizing that children have different needs. We realize that beginner
steps are important at camp, and we want to ensure the success of each camper. Stonybrook also offers
a half-day program to campers registered for 5 days of camp each week. In this program, campers arrive
at 9 am and depart at 2 pm. During this time, half-day campers will be served lunch and will also make
their way to the pool for a swim lesson.
STONYGRAMS
At Stonybrook we do our best to ensure that our parents our involved in the progress of their camper(s).
Communication is part and parcel of that. To this end, we send home a STONYGRAM each day. This is our
way of letting you know about your junior camper(s) achievements—both great and small.
