Kids Come First at Stonybrook!

At Stonybrook Day Camp, we’re proud of our history, our outstanding facility, and our staff. Our true uniqueness comes from the emphasis we place on the experience of our campers. Every decision we make, from the complexity of our ropes course to the healthy lunch menu we offer, is based on our awareness of your child’s needs and our dedication to making every camper’s summer the best it can be. At Stonybrook, campers do more than just play—they grow! We look forward to welcoming your son or daughter to this very special community of campers.

Campers and their families are the first priority in every decision we make. After all, partnering with families is an enormous part of our success at Stonybrook Day Camp. To support our family-friendly policy, we keep in close communication with our camp families all year long. Throughout the summer, each camper’s progress is carefully monitored. Our goal is to ensure that each camper’s schedule comprises a well-balanced selection of activities to ensure personal growth, skill development, and a sense of achievement. We send home weekly swim reports, bi-weekly program evaluations, and in the middle and at the end of the summer, we send home a progress evaluation. Additionally, we also give our parents an opportunity to evaluate us at these times.

Stonybrook teaches that success is not measured solely by the outcome, but more importantly, by effort, determination, open-mindedness, and the willingness to try. Our program is carefully designed to enable children to succeed and to give them the most exceptional summer of their lives. It’s based on the premise that each one of our campers is important and unique. We treasure these individual strengths and nurture self-confidence and self-expression through our camp activities. As part of our commitment to meeting every child’s needs, we’re equipped and eager to offer plenty of personalized attention and a supportive environment. Stonybrook Day Camp will exceed your expectations and the expectations of your child!

At Stonybrook, we realize that small things mean a lot. So no request is too small—or too big. If you need anything attended to, anything at all, don’t hesitate to call us at (973) 584-0078.
